There is a clearing somewhere deep in the woods, where there are no sounds, no wind, and no sun. 
The air seems colder and harsher. The trees seem angrier; deader. The forest floor is ominous. As if it’s been wiped of all that once made it good. And just beyond the tree line there is a clearing where this structure stands. Isolated from the rest of the world, seemingly not part of it at all.
Many souls have been lost to this place and surely many more will be in the future.
